Fundraising for Coronary Care Unit and Glyder Ward
Having been in their good care after having a heart attack in October 2013 before being transferred to Liverpool Broadgreen Heart and Chest Hospital for six coronary heart grafts: I have decided to collect money through fundraising for equipment that will improve the comfort and wellbeing of the patients and staff on these wards as a small token of my appreciation for their hard work and dedication.
During my unplanned thirty day stay in Hospital I met many good people who I will never forget; I left their care at the end of October 2013 but I found sleep difficult as the events I had experienced in the days I had spent in Hospital were going through my head constantly: a retired nurse who I met through my work suggested that I put pen to paper and write it all down and if I did that she would buy a copy from me: this is how the book “My Little Event” came to being.
Not wanting to profit personally from the book I decided to do some good by using it raise funds.
My sleeping has improved since writing the book; the advice she gave me was very good.
To raise approx £4000 to fund the purchase of Dyson blade-less bedside fans for each patient bed and the nurses stations in both CCU and Glyder Ward. http://www.dyson.co.uk/Fans-and-heaters/cooling-fans.aspx

Charity “Cardiac Open” Golf Competition 2016/2017
The Cardiac Golf Open was held at Betws-y-Coed Golf Club in 2016/2017 and £1600 was
raised from these events which was well supported from local golfers. Prizes were kindly
donated by local businesses and their contribution was a large part of the events success.
